Becoming a Mum for the first time in a foreign country can be tough. Running your own business can be tough. Combine the two together, and there isn't alot of spare time to do things, particularly as we don't have a helper. Though we do have 2 dogs in addition to the new baby! We are slightly mad that way ;-)
I'm calling these 'Grateful Balls' because there is so much that goes into them that I am grateful for:
My friend Suz for sharing the recipe, and then encouraging me (several times) to find the 10 minutes it takes to make them.
My friend, and business coach, Ainslie, who emphasised the need to do something, however small, for myself every day.
My friend Kathryn who gifted me her food processor when she left Hong Kong. Because when all you have is 10 minutes you need to make the most of them!
And for the incredible small businesses in Hong Kong whose products I adore, who I follow on Instagram, and who inspire me to do better both in my business, and my general wellness, every day.
So these are my (oh so yummy) Grateful Balls.
Nut & Co Grateful Balls
- 125g Chosen Nut Butter
- 85g Raw Honey
- 30g Almond Meal
- 180g Gluten Free Oats
- 2 Tablespoons cocoa (or to be truly decadent, do what we did and use this from Raiz the Bar)
Mix all the ingredients together. I used the food processor (anything to save a bit more time!), but a bowl & a spoon will work just fine too.
Note: Suz's original recipe said to add 2 tablespoons of water. I forgot this step, but in the end didn't find it necessary, but I'd suggest you just use your judgement for this step.
Roll into 1-inch (2.5cm) balls, dust in the cocoa powder. Store in the fridge.
